Despite the GDL strike: this is how the City-Bahn runs

  • City railway creates connections throughout the network

Chemnitz - Despite the GDL strike, the City-Bahn is operating more and more routes. On Friday, train connections will be added on C14 (Chemnitz central station Einsiedel) and at the weekend on C15 (Chemnitz Hainichen). The following operating programme therefore applies to the Chemnitz City-Bahn lines.

C11 Chemnitz Stollberg:

  • Emergency bus service between Altchemnitz Stollberg every two hours
  • Pupil trains:
    • Train from Chemnitz main station 06:30 to Stollberg (analogue regular timetable)
    • Train from Stollberg 07:32 to Chemnitz main station (analogue regular timetable)

 

C13 Burgstädt Chemnitz Aue:

  • As a result of the strike, replacement bus services will run every two hours between Dittersdorf Einsiedel Technopark from 24 January 2024 to 29 January 2024.
  • Pupil trains:
    • Train from Chemnitz main station 06:07 to Burgstädt (analogue regular timetable)
    • Train from Burgstädt 06:32 to Aue (analogue regular timetable)
    • Train from Aue 08:39 to Chemnitz Zentralhaltestelle (analogue regular timetable)

 

C14 Mittweida Chemnitz Thalheim:

  • Trains will run again between Chemnitz Central Station and Einsiedel Station on Friday (26 January 2024). Initially between 6:28 am (first train from Chemnitz Zentralhaltestelle) and 1:24 pm (last train to Chemnitz Zentralhaltestelle) or 7:03 am from Einsiedel (first train) and 1:03 pm from Einsiedel (last train).
  • The regional train (RB) 45 of the Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn will serve all our stops between Chemnitz Hauptbahnhof Mittweida during the strike.


C15 Chemnitz Hainichen:

  • On 27 and 28 January 2024, trains will run every two hours between Chemnitz main station and Hainichen. The first train departs from Chemnitz at 7.55 a.m. (platform 6), the last train departs from Hainichen at 8.43 p.m.


RB 37 Glauchau Gößnitz:

  • Currently no train service

 

RB 92 Stollberg Glauchau:

  • Emergency bus service between Stollberg Glauchau every two hours: www.city-bahn.de
  • Pupil trains:
    • Train from Glauchau 06:29 to Stollberg (analogue regular timetable)
    • Train from Stollberg 07:21 to Glauchau (analogue regular timetable)
