The City-Bahn is not affected and will run in Chemnitz and the surrounding area according to the timetable - but only until 8 p.m. due to a construction project by Deutsche Bahn: www.city-bahn.de.
Those affected by the Ver.di strike in our region are CVAG (www.cvag.de) and SVZ (www.nahverkehr-zwickau.de). The City-Bahn Chemnitz will not be on strike as it is conducting its collective bargaining with the German Train Drivers' Union (GDL).

In addition to the warning strike, almost the entire area of the Mittelsachsen transport association (city of Chemnitz, Erzgebirgskreis, districts of Mittelsachsen and Zwickau) will be affected by a construction measure from 8 p.m. on Friday until 4 a.m. on SaturdayRailway infrastructure operator DB InfraGO AG is taking the electronic signal box out of service in sections. Consequence: No trains can run during this time, buses will be used as rail replacement services (SEV). Please note: Onward and forward-running trains may run later/earlier. There will be initial restrictions on lines C13, C14 and C15 from 18:30 due to adjustments to operating procedures. Passengers can find all timetables and traffic information in detail at www.city-bahn.de/stoerungsmeldungen. The immense SEV can also lead to connection losses due to the significantly longer journey times.
