As part of your training as a Transport Services Clerk (m/f/d), you can expect a varied range of tasks with intensive support and an almost 100 per cent chance of being offered a permanent position. Your experienced colleagues will always be on hand to support you throughout your apprenticeship and beyond.
As a trainee, you’ll gain experience across all departments, as each one is essential to the smooth running of our rail services. A mutual understanding of the work carried out by our colleagues enables us to successfully tackle even the most challenging tasks together. You’ll gain an insight into our administration, act as the first point of contact for all kinds of enquiries at the customer centre, and assist our passengers on board the trains.

As a municipal railway company at the heart of the „City of Modernity“, we are the driving force behind the Chemnitz Model and the most innovative transport provider in the region. On the railways, we link the railway and the urban tram network to form an efficient and integrated local public transport system, offering people in the Central Saxony conurbation a reliable, accessible and direct connection to Chemnitz city centre – in the interests of the environment and for sustainable regional transport development.
With us you will learn
- know the universe of merchants
- dealing with praise and criticism in the customer centre, advising our customers on tickets, fares and connections and selling tickets
- On our trains, we will show you how to accompany our customers, how to assist passengers with reduced mobility, how to check tickets, the variety of fares we offer and how to deal with conflict situations.
To make it work with us, you need
- at least a good secondary school leaving certificate
- Enjoy dealing with people
- a flair for first-class service
- really keen to go the extra mile for our passengers
- Very good team player, sense of responsibility and reliability
- Stress resistance and physical and mental fitness
- Willingness to work in shifts and on Sundays and public holidays
- Very good written and spoken German
- basic knowledge of English or the willingness to acquire or deepen this knowledge
