- Line C 14: On 17 and 18 June, DJs will play in two lanes from Technopark

Chemnitz/Mittweida: The Campusfestival Mittweida and the City-Bahn Chemnitz are once again launching the Festival-Bahn project! DJ "IZZY" and DJ "stoehrlinski" will both be playing on 17 and 18 June (both at 5.14 pm from Technopark) on a regular train on line C14 towards Mittweida station.
"We are leading the way with this project and want to show how pragmatically we can work together to connect the region's art and culture scene with Chemnitz, the European Capital of Culture 2025"says City-Bahn Managing Director Friedbert Straube.
The Mittweida Campus Festival is the largest campus festival in the region and is organised annually by the students of Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. The festival is a public event for all music fans. This year, up to 1000 visitors are expected. This year's line-up is made up of indie and pop musicians such as SOFFIE, Tiavo, Bruchbude, Elena Rud and many more.
The producer of the Campus Festival, Oliver Bartl, is delighted about the collaboration: "With the festival train, we make it possible for guests from Chemnitz to get to the Campus Festival in a comfortable and environmentally friendly way - and with a special experience on the journey there. We are very pleased about the reliable cooperation and the opportunity that the City-Bahn gives us."
The project was already successfully implemented in 2023 and the Campus Festival team is delighted to welcome back the festival railway after last year's cancellation (strike).
Journalists are invited to report on the festival train to Mittweida on 17 June from 4.45 pm at the Technopark stop.
