City-Bahn launches fairy tale train for the first time

  • On 13 December at 4 p.m., the first fairy tale train will depart from Mittweida as a regular C14 service.
  • The winner of this year's Chemnitz Fairy Tale Competition, Antje Trapp, reads from her winning story.
  • In addition, City-Bahn will be supporting the 2-for-1 promotion by MOOVME and VMS on 14 December with walking acts on the trains.

Chemnitz/Mittweida/Thalheim – The City-Bahn is turning the third weekend of Advent into a pre-Christmas highlight: on 13 December, the fairy tale train will run through the region for the first time, and on 14 December, the Grinch and his reindeer will visit the trains.

„On the third weekend of Advent, we want to sweeten the wait for the festive season for our passengers with a variety of activities.“says City-Bahn Managing Director Friedbert Straube.

  • On the Fairy Tale Train, author Antje Trapp reads from her fairy tale „Das Geheimnis der Nachtkatzen“ (The Secret of the Night Cats), the winning story of this year's Chemnitz Fairy Tale Competition.
  • She is supported in this by publisher Christian Wobst and editor Marcus Lehmann.
  • In a cosy atmosphere, you can hop on and listen in at any time from 4 p.m. on line C14 from Mittweida (selected times: Chemnitz Central Station 4:19 p.m., Chemnitz Central Stop 4:27 p.m., Chemnitz Technopark 4:39 p.m., Thalheim Station 5:21 p.m.).
  • A valid ticket is sufficient for participation; registration is not required. not necessary

  • The City-Bahn lets the Grinch and his reindeer roam through the Chemnitz model on various C lines.
  • In addition to promoting the VMS's 2-for-1 offer for the MOOVME app, genuine Pulsnitz gingerbread will be handed out just in time for the timetable change.
