Bus instead of train: where the City-Bahn cannot run due to roadworks

  • Line closures due to routine work by the rail operators
  • Rail replacement services on lines C15, C11 and RB 37
  • Attention: Departure and arrival times of the buses deviate from the regular timetable

Chemnitz - Construction sites slow down the City-Bahn in October. The reason: routine work by the infrastructure operator.

In detail, the following lines are affected:

  • The C15 line will run between Hainichen and Niederwiesa as a rail replacement service (SEV) from 6 October to 10 October 2025.
  • On 13 October, the C11 line will run as an SEV between Stollberg (Sachs) and Altchemnitz. From 14 October to 17 October 2025, the line will run between Stollberg (Sachs) and Neukirchen-Klaffenbach as an SEV.
  • The RB 37 line will continue to run between Meerane and Gößnitz as a rail replacement service until 25 October 2025.

The routine work serves to maintain the infrastructure in the long term. City-Bahn Managing Director Friedbert Straube: "Together with our regional partner companies, we always try to concentrate such work and schedule it during the school holidays so that as few children as possible are affected on their way to school."

All SEV timetables are available on www.city-bahn.de/stoerungsmeldungen Please note: The departure and arrival times of the buses deviate from the regular timetable.
