Then we are looking for you as

  • Developer, reviewer, tester and verifier of in-house software solutions for operational data management and passenger information,
  • Supervisor of railway master data,
  • Author and publisher of training material for colleagues,
  • Co-fighter in the technical support of new acquisitions and adaptations of software solutions for railway operations,
  • Assistance in the maintenance and further development of high availability server infrastructure.

We have been around since 1997 and as a municipal railway company in the heart of the "City of Modernity", we are the driving force behind the Chemnitz model and the most innovative transport provider in the region. On the rails, we combine the railway and urban tram network to form an efficient and integrated public transport system and offer people in the central Saxon conurbation a reliable, barrier-free and transfer-free transport connection to Chemnitz city centre - in the interests of the environment and for sustainable regional transport development.

To make it work with us, you need

  • Ideally a university degree in a STEM field, but this is not a must,
  • Programming skills in Python3, this is now a must,
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases,
  • Knowledge of git,
  • Knowledge of Docker, SQLAlchemy, tkinter, Sphinx/rst would be an advantage, but is not a must.
